ABOUT US:

WE’RE GLAD YOU’RE HERE!

At Lana’s Early Learners, we believe that early childhood is a time of wonder, discovery, and growth. Our mission is to provide a nurturing, safe, and invigorating environment where children can develop a love for learning, build meaningful relationships, and explore their unique abilities.

With an emergent play-based and developmentally appropriate curriculum, we foster creativity, critical thinking, curiosity, and confidence in each child. Our experienced and passionate educators are dedicated to guiding little learners through hands-on activities that encourage social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and academic development.

We understand that choosing a preschool is a significant decision for families, and we are honored to be a part of your child’s journey. We prioritize strong connections with parents and caregivers, ensuring open communication and a sense of community that supports every child’s growth and success.

We believe in enforcing all children with the sense of possibility!

"The goal of education is not to increase the amount of knowledge but to create the possibilities for a child to invent and discover"

-Jean Piaget

Hello!

SVETLANA TASHCHIAN

“Hello, my name is Svetlana Tashchian, but you can call me Ms. Lana. It is an honor to welcome you to our academy”

  • I believe that every child is born with incredible potential and a unique way of seeing the world. With the right environment and an emergent, thoughtful curriculum, children blossom into lifelong learners with a passion for growth, an appreciation for hard work and challenges, and a sense of purpose. My vision for this preschool is to create a space where children feel safe, loved, and encouraged to explore, create, and learn.

  • Opening a preschool has been a dream of mine for many years. In the future, I hope to continue my passion for teaching by traveling the world and working with children in third world countries— but for now, my heart is right here, helping your little ones grow and thrive. These early years are some of the most important and formative in a child’s education, and I am truly honored that you’ve entrusted me to be a companion on this incredible journey.

  • Teaching has been my lifelong passion. I received my Master’s in Physics at the University of Yerevan, Armenia. After graduating, I started teaching, but students that are way older than the ones you probably have. Still, my heart has always been working with children. I moved to New York City in 1994, got married, and was blessed with the most wonderful three kids.

In 2009, after the loss of my husband, my family and I relocated to Sacramento, CA. Since then, I’ve dedicated nearly 15 years to early childhood education, working with children of all ages. There is truly nothing more magical than seeing a child’s eyes light up when they discover something new, retell a story with an abundance of detail, solve a problem, or create their own little masterpiece. Those moments of joy and curiosity inspire everything I do as an educator.

"Every child deserves a champion: an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists they become the best they can possibly be”

Rita Pierson

  • PHILOSOPHY

The cornerstone of our educational philosophy is learn, play, explore, and create. All children have a special innate ability to see and explore the world with such wonder and awe. As educators we believe it is our responsibility to nurture such abilities. Our curriculum imbues hands-on learning with Reggio Emilia model of education and Christian principles.

  • STUDENTS

Lana's Early Learners Academy is now enrolling children ages 2 to 6, both potty trained and those still in the process of learning. We also offer after-school care for elementary school students, ages 6+.
